Jeremy A. Cohen

Although Jeremy has been a resident of Broward County since 1998, he is originally from a small town located twenty miles west of Boston, Massachusetts. Shortly after obtaining his bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1997, Jeremy relocated to South Florida.

While employed by Flour Corporation (world's largest, publicly owned engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance services company) Jeremy made the decision to attend law school.

“I wanted to do something meaningful, and for me that was helping other people who could not help themselves.”

In 2002, Jeremy graduated with honors from the Nova Southeastern University Law Center. Since graduating Nova Southeastern University Jeremy has frequently returned as a guest speaker, lecturer, and volunteer Judge for Moot Court competitions.

After practicing as an attorney behind some wonderful mentors for several years, Jeremy co-founded Cohen & Owens, P.A., in the spring of 2005. The focus of his practice is in the areas of real estate litigation and transactions, distressed property transactions, commercial and residential landlord tenant, commercial and civil litigation, estate planning, and corporations. Jeremy is admitted to the Florida Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, South Florida Foreclosure Defense Bar Association, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is also a member of the Broward Attorney’s Real Estate Council, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Title Insurance Through Lawyers, B'nai B'rith International, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Attorney's’ Title Insurance Fund, and Lauderdale Small Boat Club.
