Menina E. Cohen has been a resident of Florida since 1999. She is originally from Aurora, Colorado. Mrs. Cohen is a graduate of the University of Colorado located in Boulder, Colorado. She has a Bachelors Degree in Environmental, Population, and Organismic Biology and Psychology. While she attended CU, she was a National Science Foundation Grant recipient for marine and environmental research being conducted on Mona Island, an island off the coast of Puerto Rico. During her studies at CU she also was a teaching assistant for Biology and Chemistry courses receiving a four year scholarship for the same.
She received her degree of Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was the Bilingual Editor of the International and Comparative Law Journal where she drafted, edited, and translated varying international and comparative law articles ranging from human rights to terrorism.
Mrs. Cohen concentrates her practice in the area of intellectual property law and real estate law. She has counseled clients in a wide variety of matters relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights and has assisted individual and corporate clients in securing domestic and international intellectual property rights. Mrs. Cohen’s current focus is in the following areas:
Mrs. Cohen is admitted to the bars of the State of Florida, U.S. District for the Southern District of Florida, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Mrs. Cohen is an active member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and is a licensed boat captain with the U.S. Coast Guard.
